Objective:
To identify and implement strategies and mechanisms to increase co-processing waste material volumes under the principle of Waste-to-energy & material recovery.
Outcome:
- Identification of actions within the trade environment, in order to promote environmental co-processing services: opportunities and limitations.
- Identification of domestic standards, policy and legislation, related to waste management.
- Development of a network of stakeholders between NGOs, professional associations, governmental institutions and the industry: positions and interests identified.
- Initial conversations in order to establish a Public Private Partnership between the German Technical Cooperation Agency - Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) and Holcim (Costa Rica), S.A.
